Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia - 2018
driving out to the salt flats for the first time. you’re driving on wet dirt roads looking out the window going - where the hell are we and where is this massive salt flats they are talking about?
then you arrive. you need to wear huge rain boots to keep the water out
it’s spectacular there
you rely on your truck quite a bit. there are stories of people getting stuck. we almost did one night.
the trucks take a beating out there.
the salar is at 11,995 ft so the air is crisp and the sun is strong. my favorite type of climate.

don’t sit! stay on your feet and keep moving. keep striving for what you want to achieve. walk forward and keep going until you can’t walk any more. a chair will find you when it’s time to rest. they’ll be a time to rest your feet and the setting will be undeniably worthwhile.
